A rainy Amsterdam elopement

Elope in Amsterdam

This French couple, Lea and Elvis, decided to elope in Amsterdam. It was a very windy and rainy day, like we quite often have in the Netherlands, but it didn’t make this elopement any less magical. Going the untraditional route by eloping in Amsterdam instead of planning a full wedding, these two lovebirds chose to create a day that perfectly suits them.

Popping champagne in a ‘Brown cafe’

We had so much fun walking alongside the beautiful canals of Amsterdam, until it started pouring with rain. We got to one of the iconic ‘brown cafes’ just in time to shelter from the rain. We had a nice cup of coffee and tea and when the rain stopped, we went outside again to pop some champagne.

Sharing their vows at Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

Because of the rain we were a little delayed, but just in time for this beautiful couple to read their vows to each other in the historic gardens of the Rijksmuseum. It was such a beautifully intimate moment, with them reading their vows to each other in the beautiful French language.

Together with this couple we created an amazing luxurious album, for them to look through and keepsake until their old age. Once we finished looking through the album and reliving these fun memories, Lea told me the only regret they have is not booking me for longer. Which might be the biggest compliment I’ve ever received!
