Today I want to share with you all the amazing experience I had during an intimate city photoshoot before the municipal wedding of Bart & Jasmijn. It was such a fantastic day, filled with laughter, love, and beautiful moments.

Getting married at Rijksmuseum Amsterdam

We decided to start at one of the most iconic landmarks in the city – the Rijksmuseum. It was the perfect location to capture the essence of this couple’s love story against a backdrop of history and art. As a photographer, I always strive to find unique and meaningful locations that add depth to the images, and the Rijksmuseum did just that.
As we made our way out of the museum’s picturesque courtyard, I suddenly heard someone sing: ‘Singing in the rain… just singing in the rain’. Before I knew it Bart was already hanging on to this street lantern while singing, their genuine joy radiating through the camera lens.

Handmade wedding dress

The bride looked absolutely stunning in a dress that I had personally made for her. You see, I am a firm believer in sustainable fashion, especially in the wedding industry. So, I took it upon myself to create a handmade collection of mini wedding dresses for my clients to rent during photoshoots. It’s all about contributing to a more sustainable future while still embracing the beauty and elegance of a classic wedding dress.

The perfect wedding transportation: BIKES

At the end it was time to head to the municipal. By bike ofcourse! We are in Amsterdam after all.
