Madeira Photographer
Jess DM’d me on Instagram saying she loved my work and asking if I was in Madeira at the same time as her and her boyfriend. I told them, ‘I’m not, but I can be’ and before I knew it, that same night my tickets were booked! I love it when the couples I shoot with, are just as spontaneous and adventurous as I am!
Even though the photoshoot was meant to be a surprise for Rob’s birthday, later that year. The following day, Rob was already in on the plan too. Jess just couldn’t hold her excitement, and I think it is a good thing! This way they could look forward to the shoot together, and that’s also part of the experience.
Seixal in the dark
The day came and getting up super early, we arrived at Seixal when it’s still dark. I love that the sunrise is so dark at the start that it gives me time to just ‘be’ and enjoy looking at the view together before we start the photoshoot, so we already get to know each other and get comfortable with each other. With Jess and Rob this didn’t take long and we had such a fun photoshoot. They did amazing!
Taking a dip
I am obsessed with their beautiful tattoos, that just look so cool together with the wildness of the ocean and the black sand of Seixal. Especially in black and white! Luckily, these two didn’t mind getting wet, because I had a fun ending of the shoot for them in mind. I mean we can’t go to the beach without getting in the water.
After we finished shooting, we all changed into our bathing suit and had a refreshing swim in these beautiful waters. These are really the moments I can’t believe I am allowed to do this job. Meeting amazing new people, in the most breathtaking places and sharing these beautiful moments with them, laughing with each other in the waves. Jess and Rob, it was an honour!
