Madeira Sunset Proposal

‘Have you guys ever thought about maybe getting married in the future?’ I asked carefully on the car ride to the location for the love shoot. For a couple of seconds there was a slightly tense silence, followed by Robin answering ‘maybe in the future’ and Lisa-Marie jokingly showing me a ringless finger. Well, little did we know… 

Arriving at Ponta do Tristão we were met with the most amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of Madeira. Robin and Lisa-Marie are true sunrise and sunset lovers, hence the location was perfect for them. The couple-shoot was super relaxed and I asked Robin to make Lisa-Marie giggle. When he went on one knee I thought he was joking to make her laugh… my brain needed two seconds to comprehend: ‘Wait?! He is ACTUALLY proposing!’

Lisa-Marie may have been shocked for a moment, but there was no hesitations: ‘Yes, yes, yes a thousand times yes!’ 

After some congratulations hugs and the final pictures of the happy couple and the beautiful ring (I mean, look at it!!), I climbed a little further up the hill to let them enjoy the final moments of sunset together in privacy. Meanwhile, I am looking at the same sunset being thankful for the fact that I get to witness these beautiful moments of love for a living. 

Madeira Elopement

Dear Lisa-Marie and Robin,
It is still a mystery to me, how all of these puzzle pieces came together. From you randomly being ambushed by a group of photographers at the beach, to us getting into contact, to this amazing moment. Robin, you can proudly say you have proofed your boss wrong. This proposal was nothing less than perfect and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. All the love to you in the future!
